Throughout my journey, I’ve carved a path filled with creativity and dedication.
It all began in 1994 when I completed my degree in Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Since then, I have immersed myself in the world of design, exploring its every nuance. The early years, both during and after my degree, were a true voyage of discovery. I served as a layout artist in architectural firms, advertising agencies, and design studios, donning various hats from senior designer to account manager and creative director. Each experience added a new layer to my knowledge and passion for design.

In 1999, I decided to breathe life into my own studio, naming it “Open Design Studio” in Lisbon. Later, in 2009, I gave it a new name, “Marta Antão Design” reflecting my evolution and uniqueness in the world of design.

Along this journey, undertook numerous projects, both individually and in collaboration with creative partners, including agencies and studios. I assembled a team of carefully selected professionals, enabling us to develop comprehensive design and communication strategies. They demonstrated remarkable adaptability to any challenges that came our way.

From 2010 until April 2023, I took the helm of the Graphic Design department at the Genius e Meios Company, a part of the Renascença Multimedia Group. Today, I’m a Freelancer, continuing to explore new creative horizons.
Furthermore, I’m engaged in various collaborative projects that go beyond design, encompassing areas like renovations, interior design, decoration, artistic installations, and crafting unique pieces.
